Photographer’s Note
This was another one of my early morning hikes up Mt. Iwaki. Lord knows what the smoke in the foreground is. Maybe it's coming from fires or something like that. The glistening city you can see it Hirosaki. A population of about 200,000.
I used photoshop tools for the first time in this shot. I adjusted the levels and the sharpness of the shot. I can't see the difference, mind you. I'd love to know more about photoshop.

Hi Luke
this is a very nice photo ... very original ... unlike anyother that one come across on TE ... the reason being that we can see the sun's reflection from the houses that shine like diamond ..... and it seems like a very nice observation place from where you took this photo .... nicely done mate
Cheers .... sarju
PS: I would like to see some more shots from the same observation place .. I mean at different time and seasons

HI Luke,
Cool photo.
To be at that point before the city awakens and to obsurve is a great achievement in early hours of day.
The distant daylight gives good shadow rendition and the moment is captured very well.
