Photographer’s Note
Inside Benesse Museum, in Naoshima.
Naoshima is a small fishing island off the southern Japan coast, roughly between Honshu and Shikoku. It is also known as the art island because it houses a number of art museums as well as a number of outdoor art installations by famous artists such as Walter de Maria, James Turrell, Richard Long, Cai Guo-Qiang.

hi cristian,
what a splendid composition with that curve setting off in the tl corner and meeting the frame on the opposite side...
empty space - works really well in this case with a lonely user of the "waiting room" ...
best, j.

Bonjour, cher Cristian,
Excellente image graphique avec ces formes géométriques et surtout la présence d'un personnage au coeur de la scène.
Une composition mûrement réfléchie et parfaitement mise en image.
Amitiés.

the curve, the lonely woman. Strong atmosphere you created here. I also this opposition between some cold and some warm tones. Very interesting and I really like it.

for a museum, the atmosphere seem cold and desolated. Perhaps it's the muted colors or the steel wall. With that being said, I like the graphical elements, the curbs of the rail and the walkway, the patterns of the steel wall and dots. you make this otherwise cold and lifeless image interesting and pleasing to look at. Really great composition. Thanks

Hi Christian,
That's a great composition! I like the way you placed the girl. Even if she's small everything leads to her.

I love this cold, hypermodern architecture. Very good POV and framing. The lady sitting in the background is the cherry on your pie. Like it a lot.
Cheers

Cristian.
That's pretty interesting. I mean, what a sterile environment...yet, we can still see that she's beautiful. The simple steel and rust colored building material contradicts the elegant nature of that young lady sitting so calmly.
Love the space you've presented.

Hello Christian. Waiting area. Very unusually. Artistic architecture is ideally supplemented by the waiting person. In certain way the photo is abstract, because only the really important is to be seen. The composition is excellent. Best regards, Wolfgang.

hello Cristian,
I like the way the small figure sits, almost nestles in the great curving sweep of the architecture. This has a great graphical feel but with the important human element.

i keep going back to this one, is i find it a striking and really cool picture. the composition and the tones are great. but: why oh why did you not remove the black line in the lower left corner? it is disturbing me big time, and my eye is constantly drawn to it. when i cover it with my finger, there is suddenly flow and ease to the picture. but, nice work!

Hi Cristian,
you probably see art at other's work because you are The Artist. There aren't many galleries here that are inspirational and creative, such as yours. I guess this photo is close to me for two main reasons: accented line, stroke and human presence. One creates striking and powerful composition of great dynamics and space, the other gives a scale and dimension to this room, gives it a life and a warm contrast to otherwise cold ambient. Both together present a completed perfection.
Warm regards,
Jeri
