Photographer’s Note
As I was walking thrugh the city, I found a lot of people out picknicking with their families. Children playing baseball, and parents playing checkers. A lovely scene. I hope that you like this image of people relaxing in the shade of the cherry trees.
This is an event that I was lucky to even see. Sakura is one of the times that Norwegians don't go to Japan due to the strain on the Japanese tourist industri....

A soft and well composed image with the half of it dedicated to the trees in flower and the lamps, the picknick scene is also lovely and interesting, well seen and done Halgeir, compliments.
Have a nice week

A very Japanese title and atmosphere. The light is perhaps a bit strong, but the pink lamps on the white flowers for the top of the image make a very nice result.
All the best,
Emmanuel

Lovely relaxed photo with lots of interesting details. I was about to say that the light was a bit harsh but emmanuell've all ready said that:) Other than that the image was well composed and the pink lanterns are great contrast against all the white flowers of the cherrytrees:)

Hello Halgeir,
Seems like the cherry blossom is beautiful as always this year!
Nice to see people having picknic to enjoy the arrival of spring..
A pleasant composition, where the red lanterns are eye-catchers!

Hei igjen Halgeir
Ah, now this is a scene I like.
The so much talked about "Sakura", you remember our conversations on the subject right?
I love how this scene is just taken out of reality. No posing, no special features. Only the beautifully placed walkpath to guide the view into the sakura and the one guy on the right that seems to have noticed you...
I like how you have used a high POV for this scene, almost looks like the sakura a growing into your camera!
Great work.

Good work here Halgeir. A well disposed compo using the hanging foreground branches to the best and as so often the inclusion of the people around adds life and interest to the setting.
