Photographer’s Note
This is my third photo from this doll festival.
As a centre of attention there is a display of a king and queen with their court. In this photo I only captured the king and queen, and the first level down in the display: three girls carrying sake parephinalia. One girl sitting in the middle and one on either side standing. After this there is a group of muscians and so on. With the work they put in to this display, it would be a shame not to share it with the world.

Beautiful dolls and ambiance in pure Japanese style, your picture is well done Halgeir in particular for the use of the branches as frame, this adds a bit of DOF to the image, nicely done, compliments.

Suddenly you got busy posting photos...:) It's not been that long since I last visited and now you have all these!
Very nice compo of the dolls. and the blurry flowers in the top forground makes it look like you're peeking in to the situation. But the view should have been a couple centimeters lower so the flower didnt hide some of the head of the top right doll. But thats just my suggestion:)

Truly magnificent handywork.
I like how these dolls look like they are almost life size.
Slightly dark and maybe a slight tint if yellow in the photo, but it is nothing serious.

Good use of the exhibition Halgeir. Well managed light and an attractive result in the shadowless environement
