As in all japanese cities, Matsuyama has excellent public transport, including buses and street cars, that always run on time. Dogo Spa is a very old and famous hot mineral water bathing town and is served by modern forms of transport but also by this rather quaint two coach train that plies the same rails as the more up-to-date trolley buses.
An interesting piece of extra entertainment comes at the end of the line when they have to turn the locomotive around. In the centre of the tracks is a large, hydraulic ramp which lifts the entire engine off the rails. The driver and fireman then turn the loco round by hand on the pivoting ramp, before lowering it back on the rails, facing the other way.

Captured very well the interesting subject.
This is a famous steam-locomotive-type tram called Botchan Train for attraction of tourists, the engine is a diesel because it runs in the town just like the usual tram.
Best wishes, Hisashi

Great to see such small train preserved for use. Light is good to show those dark green surfaces. Very interesting!
