Photographer’s Note
This is my fourth picture along Oboke Gorge. Along the gorge, there are more than 10 bridges. We have seen the bridges along the way as I have posted bridge 1, bridge 2, and bridge 3. This one was still under construction. When we were there, the construction was in hold. I am not sure the interrupted construction work is caused by the weather or by the year end holidays.
In the WS, I will post a zoomed in view picture of the village across the gorge.

Bonsoir Wes,

Hej Wes,
The white construction site in the middle of mountains and forests looks very nice. You took this shot from a nice high point. Good work and thanks for sharing!

Hi Wes. We don't get to see many under construction shots on TrekEarth. The bridge makes this for me. The rest of the landscape is dramatic and beautiful. It looks like the sky was about ready to cooperate with you. Nicely done Mr. Wes!

Wes this scene is very well captured too. Perhaps not the best lighting with the clouds trying to offset your exposure. But I love the insight in the workshop showing the village setting. Seems that land is such a premium that they take the time and effort to build concrete barriers to ensure security on this hillside. Nice shot Wes and thanks for sharing!

Except for all the construction equipment this is almost monotone. It's interesting to see how the light dusting of snow has picked out all the contours of the hillside.

Hi wes.
You really give me this feeling that Japan is such an ugly country, you see some ugly architectures wherever you go to in Japan and they never fit into its environments. Hmmm, so sad though. Infrastructure used to be very important so we developed roads and other traffics as fast as we could, so that is why you see 7-11(convinient stores) in every where throughout this country.
Chilly weather, deep in the mountain.. very documentary shot for these workers must be surfuring from freezing cold temprature there. he he

Must be a strange place. The snow creates an interesting atmosphere.
Excellent pov : when constructions meet nature !
