Photographer’s Note
Takamatsu Castle Tower stands at the center position of Takamatsu Castle. The bridge was the only path leads to the tower. The original tower was demolished due to old age. There is a small shrine stands on the original site. A closer look at the architecture of the shrine is in the WS.
The light for this shot was quite challenge as it was directly facing the morning sunlight.

Well Wes I see the details are shining through in your series. This photo I really love. The leaning tree and hedge in the foreground help draw my attention to the castle details. You did well in hiding the sunlight from behind the tree. Y ou know how much I love sidelighting in photos. This scene has very nice highlights.

Hi Wes. Yes I knew Paul was going to love the side or backlighting. The sky might be better off being underexposed more but the rest of the shot is very good all lit up with the backlight. You get such natural contrast with this lighting. All in all good light management Mr. Wes!

Nice shot of this beautiful place Wes.
Very good perspective view, with good colors and composition. The hedge with the trunk and it's branches give you a natural frame. The wood bridge ends in this amazing stone wall with great details.
Very well done and TFS.

Beautifully exposed and a great piece of compsition. I notice you kept the sun out of the lens. A good piece of camera work. The colour and detail is great here and the effect of the bridge leads the viewer in nicely . Great work.

Hi Wes
I like the superb backlighting, wrapping the light around the tree at left. Good use of the branches to frame the scene. I like the opposing diagonals of the walkway & canal. Well done!

Hello Wes, this is an interesting tower on top of the man-made mound. I like the covered bridge in the foreground leading the eye across to it. You did have some trouble with the sun but seem to have managed well in the circumstances - some OE in the sky but little lens flare. The tree did a good job of blocking the worst of it.

Hi Wes,
A good portrait of the local architecture style and a good result for the difficult backlight conditions.Nice foreground framing too with the hedge below and the tree on the left.
Have a nice weekend,

Bonsoir Wes,
Le voici donc ce château qui se cachait derrière les grands arbres aux branches élancées .
Une photo qui représente la beauté du Japon.
Très belles couleurs. Très belle mise en scène de l'ensemble.
Amitiés.

It seems you have found some sun... A typical and great Japanese compo : the temple, the tree, the atmosphere... That's how I imagine it is.
TFS.

Hi Wes,
I like the way you used the hedge and the tree trunk in the foreground for this composition. It's effective and make the scene lovelier especially with the sunlight peeping from the side of the trunk. Very nice atmosphere and I must say an excellent choice of POV. Great shot!! All the best.

Hello Wes, well t he light is really a problem for this shot. The setting is gorgeous. I love the stone walls and the green roofs. That gives a lot of color contrast. The point of view was perfect. It included a nice silhouette of the castle and the bridge. Too bad a about the light at that point of the day, but you did fine even like that. Thanks for sharing. Gabriel
