Photographer’s Note
This is Inner Garden of Takamatsu Castle. The garden is very well maintained with a neat design.
Same as my last post, this is a challenge shot to me as I was directly against the morning sunlight.

Hello Wes,
Nice bridge. The against morning light made a good effect on the barier of he bridge. The contrast is nice. With the temple on the back is is well framed. But what it is the new building, could you not take it out of the view?
Well done.

I must say Wes nice work on this capture. The bridge in the foreground really sets the stage for a nice photo. Very nicely framed in. The landscaping is gorgous to see too. Sorry about missing this one for points. I gave my last points to some crocs in the gallery. Good work and I hope to see more from this trip soon!

Hi Wes. You've certainly met the chalenge here. An interesting composition, and detail in the bridge held well.
You could have perhaps straightened the perspective of the main building, but then the other building on the left would have been out of line. Might as well leave it as it is, and call it artistic license.
Yours,
Andrew.

Nice place Wes and well done against the strong light of the sun, maybe a few feet back would have enhance the view on the bridge a bit, anyway nice and pleasant, well seen.

A very beautiful shot and well exposed. The light is brilliant and soft. The bridge works well as a good aid to the composition and leads in well. Great colours on the greens. Good shot.

Hello Wes, this is a similar composition to your previous post with a bridge in front and building behind. But I like this one more. The lighting is much better, especially the illumination and shadows on the bridge.

Hi Wes,
The photo came out very nice despite direct sunlight. The composition is very nice with the bridge in the foreground and the low sunlight highlighting it. The low light contributes also to nice saturated colour and a nice contrast. Well done!

Bonjour Wes,
la beauté des jardins japonais, elle n'est plus à démontrer.
Tu le retranscris bien ici avec cette composition très bien cadrée, de bas vers le haut et qui montre toute une variété d'arbres.
Bien vu et merci pour le partage.
Daniel.

Hej Wes,
I like the bridge nicely placed in front of the castle and the trees. Together they make a good composition. The colours as well as the early light look nice too, good work!

Hey Wes. You made great use of the walkway. I bet they have all sorts of excellent gardens over there. You again handled shooting into the sun well. Good job Mr. Wes.

There's not a sign of over-exposure; the light is wonderful. Very well taken shot and lovely composition with the totally necessary inclusion of the bridge which is the star-player.

Classic Japanese scene, with the iconic bridge making a strong compo contribution. Good PoV and framing.

HI Wes
I see you've been away and busy. I'm just home for a day or two so this time I choosed the thumbnail I liked best, promise to get a closer look next time I'm off.
A lovely little bridge you found here and well taken espicially considering the difficult light condions.
Well done

Hello, Wes!
Very nice place to take some rest... as every japanese garden. I like the stone bridge laying across the first plane and japanese pines in the background. Very soft and natural colors and delicate lighting are nice, too. Good job!

I am a bridge lover. A very tide composition, but I think that works fine. The definition is very good, and I am glad there was some sun light over the bridge to highlight it and give some luminance. Japanese gardens are very elaborated. There is a Japan feeling in every object of the picture. Very well done. Gabriel

Hi Wes,
You did a good job of managing the light here. I like this low angle view that places the ornate bridge as both the foreground and a separate object of beauty. The play of light and shadow is very effective on both bridge and shrubbery. The POV also allows one to see both the nearer building and the structure further in the distance. Well captured, Wes.

Hi Wes,
This shot shows that considerable care has been taken in the choice of POV and that you are able to exploit on the rewarding light qualities as seen on the bridge and the top of the shrubs. They are indeed very lovely and I also love the different shades od green. Excellent shot!! All the best.

Hi Wes,
Very nice photo of a Japanese garden. I like the brigde on the foreground, the light falls nice on the brigde. Maybe it would be nice to see the brigde a bit more in front of us, but than you would miss the temple. Good contrasts and colours.

Hi Wes,
I'm late to this picture so there's little to add to the excellent reviews. The one that describes your photo best for me is JohnC's "You did a good job of managing the light here. I like this low angle view that places the ornate bridge as both the foreground and a separate object of beauty. The play of light and shadow is very effective on both bridge and shrubbery. The POV also allows one to see both the nearer building and the structure further in the distance. Well captured."
