Photographer’s Note
I liked the curve of the stream, juxtapositioned against the arching curve of the bridge here. Shot at Peace Park, Nagasaki, which commemorates the dropping of the 2nd atomic bomb on August 9, 1945.

Great use of the curves, one on top and the other underneath. The stream going under the bridge gives this an Escher-like feel, where you go around in a circle and end up where you started. Very interesting!

Hi Chris,
Couldn't agree with you more. The juxtaposition of the two curves works here very well. Also like the mix of textures (stone, water, leafs..). Nice light and shadows play.
Well done

Hello Chris, I learned these last days assassinated it of the mayor of Nagasaki by the yakusa, and I find that it is a sad event, for a place or much of atrocity during the war were made, the park of peace is a Utopia but I think that it is necessary to believe in the man, the play misleads in it the?il which form this arch offers to us of pretty details on this modern and well maintained construction, in a friendly way.........................Hello Chris, j’ai appris ces jours derniers l’assassina du maire de Nagasaki par les yakusa, et je trouve que c’est un triste événement, pour un lieu ou beaucoup d’atrocité durant la guerre ont été commise, le parc de la paix est une utopie mais je pense qu’il faut croire en l’homme, le jeu en trompe l’œil que forme cette arche nous offre de joli détaille sur cette construction moderne et bien entretenue, amicalement

Hi Chris. A well-found shooting angle in this view from downtown Nagasaki, good details and sharpness. Also a timely choice of location just shortly after the city's mayor was shot to death while campaigning, a major piece of news in JP this week. Greetings from Tokyo.

Hey Chris. You know I'm a little slow and it took me longer than most to find the second arch! ;) That harsh light wasn't doing you any favors but you handled it well. I wouldn’t go any higher on sharpness though. Nice shot Chris.

Bonjour Chris
le cadrage est bien vu et fait ressortir un joli graphisme de ces courbes. La lumière est franche et apporte du relief. Bravo

Hi Chris,
also the texture on the stream is fine and works well with the stoned bank. But as you wrote in your note, the curves are the eyecatcher, supported by the green versus grey surrounding.

I preffer the effect of the city over the arches than the arches.

Yes the twin curves have an interesting effect; you composed the shot well to fully exploit their relationship. Well spotted
