Photographer’s Note
The view west from the cablecar terminus on Mount Inasa in Nagasaki. You can see the entrance to Nagasaki Harbour on the left. It was a surprise to see so much forest so close to a major urban centre.
"Mount Inasa (稲佐山, Inasa-yama?) is a hill to the West of Nagasaki that is 333 metres high. There is a cable car up to the top of Mt. Inasa from Nagasaki. A short walk from the cable car station are several buildings that house transmitters for TV and radio stations that serve Nagasaki and the surrounding area. Furthermore, there is an observation platform that is popular with tourists as it provides spectacular views of Nagasaki's 10 Million Dollar Night View (1000万ドルの夜景, Issenmandoru no yakei?). This is also a common place for young local couples to break off relationships."

Olá Chris, in spite of the permanent mist of the horizon, you still managed well to show us this great view. The strong foreground is beautiful and makes a nice contrast with all the layers seen to the background and it's nice to see the sun in there, which is not so strong and allowed you to shot against it. Good work!
Cheers,
Ricardo

Hello Chris,
This shot has something ethereal about it with the 'pink' mist above the mountain tops and the sun faintly glowing. Good pov and great sharpness.

Hi Chris,
I like the mood you got here by the sun and the humidity. The change from green to pink also with the pink sea is nice.
Cheers, Ulf

Hey Chris,
a beautiful sunset and a great view on the topography of this place. I remember you telling me that the effects of the A bomb blast ere somewhat educed because of the hills.

Great sweeping panorma! The shot has a great sense of depth, because you include mearby trees, and then a series of hills leading down to the water, with each one shown very well because of the slight haze in the atmosphere. Well done!

Nice reddish tonality in the sky here, Chris. The wide view across the scenery gives a good impression of the gentle seaside hills all covered in green, and the effect with the diminishing clarity into the background haze is well illustrated.

Jolies couleurs tendres Chris, ces moments privilégiés où le soleil est bas sur l'horizon.
Excellent POV en altitude, cela donne de la profondeur.
J'aime aussi les verts intenses des feuillages au premier plan.
Have a great week-end .
Danel.

Namaste Chris
I love the pastel colours you've brought out here. The atmosphere is wonderful with the layers of mountains in the FG. Wonderful is the small ball of the sun you see in the horizon. Excellent

Hi Chris,
Sunset shots with the sun in view often leads to OE but not in this case. The sun through the evening mist appears mellowed but beautiful. The fading away of the greenery in the distance is nicely done.

Hi Chris
When seeing Asian paintings there is often a particular light which we don't often see here. Your photo shows it well with the pinkish hue. It contrasts well with the dark green vegetation in the foreground.
I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Regards
Nikki
