Photographer’s Note
This was taken at a famous park in Kumamoto, It is so famous I have forgotten the name of the park. This park was so amazing, the way it is sculptured, it had phirana like Koi fish their which bite on hard french sticks (I actually have that on film)
On this particular trip, my Japanese mother (not the one in England) wrote me and her son a schedule so step by step and jam packed of places to visit, it was just so amazing, so I would like to thank her very much.
Her son helped with the Japanese, everytime we got stuck somewhere, very nice family indeed.
This picture tells us, never stand alone like this tree, because friends and family are there for a reason.
I still miss Japan and I am thinking of returning in February 2007
i hope you like it

Hi Dan
Nice composition for this lonely tree.
I like the green color. It would be better if the tree could be separate from the horizon line.
HOwever, i like these lonely trees.

Hi Dan,
A scene that wouldn't have looked amiss in the opening scene of the Lord of the Rings (I). Beautifully delicate and fairytale like. Great sentiment in your notes.
Best wishes,

Hello Dan
I can imagine how much that little help did for you, I'm currently planning a trip to Japan next autumn and I am trying to learn some basic Japanese but it is far from easy!
Well at least the trip will happen no matter what...
Lovely composition, maybe still a little to centered to my tastes but nonetheless good.
DOV is not the best, I'm actually having a little problem seing exactly what parts belong to this tree. I would simply say it is a matter of light conditions and the slightly unlucky colour match.
Very nice depiction of the sky.
Thank you for sharing

hi Dan
Quite an interesting landscape you got here. The curves of the landscape really are something special and of course the detail with the tree essential for this compo. Interesting place, well presented

this curvy landscape is amazing.
what i appreciate most in this picture is the great composition.
a darker or bluer sky would maybe increase the dramatic effect.

Salut Dan,

It seems like this tree was pasted from another picture. Strange feeling, but I like that. Lovely curved hills and juicy green.
