Photographer’s Note
This was taken at Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan. It was extremely cold and snowing that morning so I was surprised to see fisherman on the lake - they were the only ones.

Hi again Jason,
I have found this information on Lake Biwa as I don't know much about it:
"Biwa (lake), largest lake of Japan, west central Honshu, near Kyoto. It has an area of 694 sq km (268 sq mi). A canal connects the lake with the larger Kamogawa Canal and supplies water-power to Kyoto. Lake Biwa figures prominently in Japanese history and legends, and its beauty has frequently been a theme of Japanese poetry. Its name is derived from its shape, which was thought to resemble the musical instrument of the same name."
It is near Kyoto! Then I will surely visit it. ^_^
I like your photo. The colours subdued, natural and understated. The image looks calm and peaceful. The mountains across the lake are spectacualar. They are just visible enough to know they are there, but they are not in your face or overwhelming. The look ghostly on the horizon.
Good composition of the fishermen.
Thanks for sharing. ^_^
Regards,
Richard
