Photographer’s Note
I visited at Ohtsu Shrine for Hatsu-moude after 0 o'clock in 2004.
Hatsu-moude means the first visit of the year to a shrine during the New Year days in Japanese language.
I wished No Accidents, No Dangers and No Sickness in 2004 because this year is a critical year for me.
I am not a buddhist or a Shintoist, but I like this atmosphere and go to this shrine every year. Actually I feel kinds of SPIRITUAL strongly when I am there.
Anyway, hope we are in Good Health and have Great Fortune.. Happy New Year!!

This reminds me of the temple I visited last night. I saw people ringing the big bell 108 times to rid themselves of the 108 sins, and there was fragrant wood-smoke everywhere making it a very special atmosphere.
Your photo is nice, but a little dark - maybe crop a bit from the top and bottom?
Good luck in the New Year!

Very beautiful and moody shot!
The use of the lights is very well done, it gives a warm welcoming feeling.
And thank you for your wishes Noriko, I wish you too Peace, Joy & Health for this year...
