[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture is Gangoji-temple, old city area in Nara.

If you visit to temple and shrine, you will use a water-tank. It's bless of your hand.

This water tank is called Mitarai-syo.

Happy 2008 to you, takahiro!

Welcome to TE community, pleaes read FAQ, Guidelines to help you in many ways here.

I find you have posted a great shot here. This view is very uniquely captured and well composed, with sharp details of FG tank and flower but blur BG to give good DOF.

I would prefer to see more FG of the tank in wide view and to focus on it as main subject, as your title. Use very large aperture to give more bokeh blur to BG, or choose a plain BG (but less interesting!).

Good exposure although you can experiment variations, such as angle, wide view, vertical view etc, on how best to capture the color, contrast, and exposure to give a best photo shot. Well done.

TFS, bill
