Photographer’s Note
Colourful rice bowls and tea cups. At a souvenir shop on a street near the Grand Shrine of Ise, the highest shrine of Shintoism.
Ise city is very touristic. There are a lot of souvenir shops like this. But it is not due to the commercialism in recent years. Since the age of Tokugawa shogunate (1603-1867), Ise has been a great tourist trap. Because the pilgrimage to Ise was the only opportunity to travel for the commoners under the rule of the Tokugawa Shogunate.

Hi Keitaro,
What a beautiful pottery. What kind of food can u eat in those cups? Those are nice souvenirs. I like the precision in their order.
Best,
Gordana.

Hey Keitaro,
Interesting display of pottery. I like the subtle colours and patterns they produced here. Clean creativity not too bright, its simplicity makes it more refined.
Cheers!
Jom
