Photographer’s Note
Japan is among other things a place of perfection, gracious of the gesture and details seems to be higly valued.
Detail at the temple of Fushimi-Inari Taisha. An amazing temple dedicated to the good of rice and sake built by the Hata family on the 8th century and one of the most popular in Japan.
It would be nicer to have the whole frame shadow free, but this was not possible at the time of my visit. Let me know your toughts...

Nice photo well graphic with a strong impact of the colors.
The strict composition is well in the spirit of the japanese art.

hi Flavia
I like it!
I am not sure if the shadow is not a good thing, but it may be interesting to compare both versions if the light is available.
I find it amazing color and graphic visual that brings a good appeal, for this combination of the 3 layering effect : the pair of ropes, the yellow blind on a blue backing.
You chose a great POV for this abstract.
well done

Linda composição Flávia.
Gosto das ricas cores e de como os objetos estão posicionados. O que sempre me chamou atenção na cultura japonesa é a sistematica deles. Tudo tem uma posição correta e forma correta de se fazer.
Grato pelas cores.

Hi Flavia
I really like the vibrancy of the color associated with these otherwise still objects. There is a very distinct cultural signature to them.
I would imagine that a version without the shadow presents a more flattened, geometric image, with more emphasis on color and form. Whilst in the current version, the shadow makes especially the brush three dimensional, which adds another layer of sophistication. So I'd say this is good.
Greetings from Singapore.

Hi Flavia. I’m not too worried about the shadow, I feel it adds a nice diagonal to the composition. Excellent sharpness and colours. Nice catch and thanks for sharing.
Have a good weekend, Paul.

hi Flavia,
I think this is great, another example how details, if presented creatively, can illustrate the whole place so much better that an average wide-angle shot. I particularly like the patters of light and shadow that create a separate layer over the colorus and textures. this is very well seen and presented, my compliments.
best,
Kristine

Hi Flavia,
Good color tone and total object balance!
And, the shadow draws out good effect in the whole, I think.
