Photographer’s Note

Tenryū-ji temple near Kyoto is a UNESCO world heritage site. The temple was founded in 1339 to celebrate Buddha. Construction took 10 years to complete. It is ranked first among Kyoto's so-called Five Mountains. In 1994, it was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the "Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto". I was lucky enough to be there for peak cherry blossoms (well, planning for the peak time plus luck in it being borne out). This shot was taken on a bit of a hill back behind the temple.

nothing is more exiciting then a spring's view after a long cool winter.

The famous cherry blossom in this even more famed cultural city!
Great value as a symbol of the arrival of spring, besides it has a beauty of it's own...
