Photographer's Note

Kamo River is the first-grade river with 33 km in full length with Yodogawa basin system which flows through eastern Kyoto from north to south. It is joined with the Takano River in front of the Kamo Ōhashi(bridge). It is a river which has cherished capital culture for 1000 years, and it is still in a big city, clarity is maintained, and it is loved by many people as a place of recreation and relaxation. The twelve bridges are constructed from Kamo Ōhashi to downstream, and these connect from east to west of city area. Also in it, Shijō-Ōhashi connects typical shopping quarter of Shijō Kawaramachi in the west side and Gion in the east side, and people's wave is prosperous continuously. This photograph is taken towards the direction of Shijō-Ōhashi from Gojō-Ōhashi in evening.
