A huge task for a little lady! I snapped this old lady sweeping leaves in the grounds of the Golden Temple (Kinkakuji) in Kyoto, Japan.

Great spontaneous travel portrait. I like that you've included the iconic Golden Temple in the background for context, but didn't let it overwhelm the scene. Very subtle. You caught a good moment of the woman in action, plus the chaos of the leaves everywhere. It really tells a story and gives a strong sense of place, which are the criteria for a good travel photo. My only wish is that her face was a bit brighter and more visible. I think the whole image could use a bit of brightening (curves) and saturation in photoshop.

This incredible, classic Japanese autumn foliage provided a great opportunity for you to capture a beautiful scene, and you most certainly took it. I like how you were able to get the temple in the background as well.

The background is wonderful, with this chinese roof emerging from the trees. At the same time, it distract a bit the view from the woman. Could you have taken this picture from below, so that the person was partly seen with the sky in background. Or with a smaller depth of field so that the person detach herself more from the background
