Photographer’s Note
Continuing my series of photo from Japan I choose to give you a little something from Himeji this time.
This castle, Himeji Castle (姫路城, Himeji-jō) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Japanese National Cultural Treasure and thus has a history too long for me to retell here. Instead I advice you to read the wikipedia article: Himeji Castle
This photo is made up of a total of 7 photos and was shot from one of the higher courtyards withing the castle compound.
Slightly warped due to the wide angle lens I used.
I have more photos from this beautyful castle, but you'll have to settle for this now.
Enjoy.

Hi Odd Jarle,
I arrived here exactly one week before you did, but unfortunately though it was 9.30 a.m. there were thousands of local tourists there and others were still coming continously, so I spent very few time around.
I like the perspective built up with several frames and is good to see the castle also from this level.
Best regards.
Attila
