Photographer’s Note
After getting all templed out in Kyoto, the best-preserved castle in Japan was a welcome sight. If you only see one castle in Japan, see this one. Osaka-Jo is pretty from the outside but the inside has been gutted for a bland museum :(
Look it up Himeji Castle on wiki for its interesting history. I got lucky with this shot as I pointed the little Ixy to the sky. The only pp I did today was to sharpen the image a bit.

Nice shot, bur as I have written in the past I am not so much a critic of the photo as much as an ethusiast of the idea. Your shot makes me want to go there and that is what I look for in a picture.

Hello Adam
Your choice of POV is interesting, but I don't fee lyou have attained the true feeling that is attached to this beautiful castle.
The cstle has a nice placing within the frame, but I feel the tree is stealing too much of the attention.
The colours on the castle itself are good, purea and natural.
But like I said before, the tree and the branches are stealing all the attention.

Hello Adam
Well done, the angle that you have captured the structures is great. The pagodas (if that's the right term here are leaning over u. Good POV
Keep up the good work

Hi Adam!
I've seen several photos of this palace and I always found it really great. I like this photo. It has a really nice perspective and great colours. Maybe the photo as too many little branches but the photo is really nice.
Regards, Anabela

Saludos! G´day!
great pic! Nice composition with that branch on the foreground, and the contrast between the pure white walls against the deep blue sky. I tell you one of the things I always try to do (not always succed)is to achieve these dark blue sky in my pictures I don´t know thaf if this a matter of the place (here in the tropic the sunlight tends to overexpose all the time)

the leafless branches give a distinct appeal to the authentic japanese building architecture. POV is great!
