Shichi-Go-San (Children's Shrine-Visiting Day
This is a ceremonial visit paid by parents and children to their tutelary shrines to offer gratitude for the healthy growth of the children. Celebrations are carried out on November 15th for boys who reach the age of 3 or 5, or for girls who turn 3 or 7 years old. The custom is for the children to dress in their best clothes, and to carry Chitose-ame which are long thin candy sticks colored in red and white, believed to bring good luck.
I think the little one was getting tired of her parents and grand-parents taking her photo

A lovely little triple portrait. Very fine colours and a perfect light. The eldest girl is still posing as she has been told, while her brother and little sister seem to be gradually losing patience, behaving like ordinary spontaneous children.

This unusually cute trio, dressed in traditional Japanese garb, makes an exotic post, especially with your informative note. The each present a different expression, in a sense reflecting their ages, and set against the dark background, this is a first rate contribution to Trekearth.

Hello Elaine - Lovely colourful traditional dress, are those medals around the children's necks? A very interesting and informative post. TFS Rosemary

It appeares that many TE-members were in Japan in the same time! You, me Cristina (papera) and Norbert. Why we didn't make a TE-meetimg there?
Cute kids in japanese traditional dresses. Usually they are happy and proud, and specially the parents. here the little one is a bit bored or maybe saw something interesting.

Dobar tekst , lepe boje i mnogo lepa fotografija, moje cestitke na dobrom radu.
Lepo je negovati tradiciju i prenositi na mlade.
Prijatan dan sa lepim vremenom.
