Staying in japan....... a shinto wedding. i was lucky enough to be present at the shrine while the ceremony was taking place. The group was gettign ready for the official photographer, the guy a the back amused me, quickly doign up his last button

Shinto Wedding Ceremony procedure
First they are purified by the priest, meaning that they are made pure before the god.
The priest reads a ritualistic prayer. Announcing the marriage and offering a prayer.
Exchanging the nuptial cups of the marriage oath called sansankudo.
Exchanging vows with wedding rings.
The groom reads a vow aloud. The brides adds only her name at the end.
Bride and groom offer tamagushi at the altar and bow.
At the end, the members of both families drink to indicate that they now one family.
