Photographer’s Note

Why SANBA in Japan? I cannot explain the reason clearly, but SAMBA carnivals have now become one of the most famous seasonal event of summer in Japan.
Above all, ASAKUSA SAMBA carnival is the most famous and crowded one, the number of audiences are around 500 thousands, so much crowded. In total 19 teams joined as contest style. This team got the gold medal as the best one. She is the Queen oh the team on the
top of festival float at the rear of the team line.

Hi Takero,
WOW!! SAMBA in Japan? Why not? I think it's a great dance for keeping in shape and visually it's quite appealing. I'm sure most tourists would prefer this type of entertainment to suma wrestling.
I have also looked at the other pictures. All well done.

Interesting! I wouldn't expect to find it in Japan! Looking at the pictures we just cannot know if they're good dancers! hehehe The picture is great, with excellent colors and sharpness, a great composition! Good job!
