Black-and-white vs Colour Photo

Photographer’s Note

Ads from Italy, USA, and Japan filling up the sky of Aoyama-dori street, Tokyo. An underwear ad of David Beckam might suggest a rebirth of black-and-white photograph.
I captured this scene, keeping carefully verticality, as a scooter driven by the girl who seems to be a target generation of these ads stopped at just front of my camera.

Hi Hisashi,
Original approach showing strong contrast between shadowy street and brightly lit advertising covered buildings. I guess there's some symbolism on real people left in the dark and all those faces selling stuff in brightness. Girl on the scooter is a well chosen foreground target.

Hello Hisashi,

You had an idea with the B&W adds and the final composition in vertical with the scooter to make the link is very good. You also made the choice of the strong contrast to build an other link in our colored world.
I think it is interesting but this contrast setting is a bit too high, losing a bit of easy readibility.
If you have room to increase just a bit the lightning in the bottom, it could be better to my opinion.

Hi Hisashi,
nice idea.
I see you have something for everybody because there is a women underwear ad as well...
I really like the houses with the ads, but the girl in the forground is so dark that I would personaly cut it out.

a very difficult photo because de difference of lights.
I like the POV with the girl and her motorcycle at the first level.
