Photographer’s Note
This photo was shot from the Hama-rikyu Gardens, a metropolitan park not too far from the Ginza district. In March 2007 I made my first visit to Tokyo and was amazed at how "livable" the city felt: clean, well organized, remarkably human scaled at the street level. This photo captures that feeling for me, combining human, nature, and the human creation of the city in one.
