Photographer's Note
This is Shinobazu pond in Ueno Park, Tokyo. I arrived at this park, after travelling some shrines in Setsubun of the eve of the beginning of spring. Time had been past 4:00. I was walking along the promnade and gazing the pond of dusk. Seemingly it is a season of winter, many ducks was swimming in the pond, and the seagulls also were flying the sky. That the reed dyed brown had grown thick highly impresses winter in the pond where a lotus grows thick at the summer season. When I looked up the sky at the time leaving the park, I could see that the sun is sinking in the intervals of a building. And, the light of winter was dyeing the pond gently.

Hello Mikio,
The eye is focused, to this lonely duck who does not seem to fear the cold. A photo poetic quality. Bravo.
Have a nice day

Hello Mikio,
There is a fine and peacful late afternoon atmosphere in this photo. The yellowish colours are important to the atmosphere, even more so is the duck looking for dinner in the foreground. The brown reeds form a fine natural boundary between the city and the nature.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Mikio,
Nice reflections, good clarity and composition. It wouldn't be the same without the duck.
Regards,
MT
