Tokyo Station.......These are just two of the several Shinkansen models that are part of the JR East Tohoku line going towards Hachinohe & Akita.. I had a seat on the first train to Hokkaido the which is the 6:56 Hayate to Hachinohe which is also the fastest of the bunch. Having a few minutes to spare before my trip I was happy to see these two Shinkansens warming up side by side
I was about to embark on my trip to Sapporo Hokkaido by train.. The ride take 10 hours if you go straight, but it is worth it because you get to see the beauty of Aomori & Hokkaido which to me is probably the most beautiful and least explored places in Japan.
The flight from Haneda airport to New Chitose airport only takes about an hour and thirty minutes but all you get to see are the same boring clouds. How many photos of an airplane wing and white clouds can a man take or stand!! Actually Shinkansens have been photographed a million times but they are so beautiful.

Excellent shot clearly showing forms of two different train generations. Framing maybe a bit tight on the left. No doubt Shinkansen is frequently photographed subject, but on this forum it doesn't really show.

I think it's a little difficult to say "All Shinkansens" are beautiful! I have photographed many myself, but I think in comparison to the German ICE trains and the French TGV, the shinks are obviously older and way uglier. Anyway, these being much more popular and photographed, they must be beautiful to most eyes!
