Photographer's Note

Our country has rushed into the rapid aged society now. The elderly population aged 65 and over which accounts for overall population has reached to 25%. One per three Japanese is "a super-aged society" called aged 65 and over. From now on, this ratio will increase increasingly. In the case of a male, employment is finished, and in the case of a woman, she is the generation who has finished child-rearing. It's various that there are some persons who are living alone, and those who live together with the family and as those who live in the home for the aged. A Japanese life expectancy is for 80 years old in man and 86 years old in woman. Many old men/women are considered to live on a pension. It is the individual problem how the long period of old age is passed, and it is not that others interrupt. However, they could not overcome this long rest of their life, unless they maintain an optimism target for a feeling. On the other hand, the government is standing on severe crossroads with a country being made into vigorous society, cleaving many of annual revenue to such elderly people's welfare and medical treatment.
