This photograph is taken in the Zizou shopping center in Tokyo Sugamo. On both sides of the approach which reach Kogan-ji with a Togenuki Jizo (thorn-pulling Jizo), there stand in a row for many stops, such as a senior-oriented clothes shops, restauransts, and general dealer etc. The age of those who are walking seems to be over 70 years old. They will be pleasure to drop in at a shop, and buy some goods or have a meal wholly after worshipping at a temple. There do not have anything in this place even the atmosphere of the dissatisfaction to reality community or creativity. It seems to be covered the feeling of a share which is together with the same age and faith called worship. Although I do not do criticism good/bad in particular, it is a fact that reality community is constituted holding such persons. This photograph photographs the place where the elderly woman has stopped in front of the age-oriented shop dealing in cheap apparels.

Translating the price in Yen value to US$, seems not so expensive merchandise on display, quiet affordable for the elderly. The lady along gaver a vivid tone to the whole.
Have a nice week ahead,

Nice display of wearing apparels from the Tokyo Market. The elderly lady adds human dimension to the scene.Very well done, TFS.

Hello Mikio San,
Excellent timing, capturing the woman in front of the clothes identified to be on "Sale." At the current conversion rate of 1000 Yen to $9.84, the prices look appealing.

Daily scen and also funny shot well framed, good light and sharpness, pity that the lady look to the left side of photo and not to the principal part of the view.

I think it's only logic that this establishment is designed to cater specifically for the booming aging population - the current problem facing Japan and little wonder why this store looks so quiet. Your picture justifes this and the lady puts everthing into perspective. A good candid, technically well done and a great social commentary. Well done, TFS
