This photograph is taken from the national karate championship held in Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.
Karate is the martial art and the sport combative which are characterized by the blow work by clench one's fist which originated in Okinawa of its Ryukyu Kingdom days. According to a report, it is thought that it has developed while peculiar Okinawa martial art is seasoned with the China martial art and also it is subject also to the influence of a Japanese martial art. It was told to other prefectures from Okinawa Prefecture at Taisho Era, and also after the Second World War spread in many counries of the world. Now, as for tradition karate group, its rule is in use to guess to such an extent that it stops or a damage is not given just before, without hitting directly. However, there are also a school which takes the direct blow system style of full contact karate, and a school which sticks a protector. So, karate has diversified much. Moreover, karate has two basic composition, a model(Kata) and sparring(Kumite), and it has been to foundations from ancient times to practice these two. This photograph is taken from the sparring game held by mainly facing by two persons from the passage of the second floor. Generally, although it is said that karate is suitable for moral practice or self-defense training, I do not understand well a true situation.

Some interesting words about Karate-do. These tournaments are often big events. I was at the world Karate Championships in Mexico city years ago. I was with GM Hayashi - but I was best friends with Tomasada Kuda, a legend at Kumite. I am only 5th dan. But I made 5th almost 30 years ago ... I have changed from fighting to painting and now do Chinese brush type art. I am old school, not much interest it this these days.
Nice photo, they both have good stances. Your vantage point is good. Tough colors with the canvas flooring and white suits, but clear and sharp. Well done.

A fine photo from a good, high POV. The two fighters are well placed on a diagonal and captured in very expressive positions. The grey and blue floor provides a very pleasant backdrop to the two persons. It's a plain but attractive composition.

Good POV and excellent framing. The simple colors (white, off-white and light blue) help the viewer pay attention to the competitors.

A perfectly composed picture where you have managed to place the feet of these fighter along a perfect diagonal. The blue line that crosses this imaginary line is a good balance. A few, but very good colours!

Would not like to be the opponent competitor of the lady on left, she has a strong fierce face expression, concetrated on the duel.
Fine moment collected, focal with lense was fairly good from a distance.
Enjoy a nice weekend,

Nice to see a Martial Arts' shot for a change, black belt versus red belt! I like the sense of motion from the feet and arms and the timing of the shot. It's a very fast action sport that you really do bring out the best in that lens and body lingo as the attention is focused very well with just enough detail to pick out the expressions without it being distracted from the women. This looks like you had the best high pov in the house and your use of just the right shutter speed really works well. Action packed and excellent, Congrats.
