Shibuya Crossing is the busiest pedestrian crossing in the world. Thousands of people cross the street here every two minutes. It's always busy when Shibuya station is open (5 AM to 1AM ~ 7 days a week).
The crossing is famous for its large billboards and video screens. Brightly lit billboard trucks drive through the crossing in a loop.
It's safe to say that over 1 million people cross at Shibuya crossing every day. It can be quite chaotic (it's an all-way crossing) — especially on rainy days when everyone has an umbrella.
The light is surprisingly short. With all those people it can be a challenge to cross in time. There's usually a scramble at the end to get to safety. Most of the time, cars have started to pass through the intersection before everyone has crossed. Running isn't always optional.
I love rainy days love Shibuya...
