Archery(kyuudo) is a traditional sport that shoots the arrow with a bow, and appropriates it to the target. It is martial arts that train the mind and body through a series of operation.
Archery affixes the arrow to the right of the bow, and the bowstring is hung by the right hand thumb root and the taking multiplication is maintained.
Pulling the bow by a series of operation of the preparation, the concentration, and the action in the silent environment thinks that it gives something solemn atmosphere together with a white, black clothes.
This photograph is the one having taken it from the all-Japan championship done in the archery place in Meiji Shrine.

good triptych, we can feel the concentration, the clothes are in a very classic style
maybe an idea to try: less zoom on the first one to get the same proportions of the body and head in the three shots

Dear Mikio, nice to hear from you. I do value your opinion. I also like this triptych as it demonstrates the art and concentration of Japanese archery. Serious business. Well framed- the elegance of the presentation matches the woman's finesse. regards. Klaudio.

I love the contrast between the fragility of the beautiful woman and the power she has to use when pulling the string. (I know that because my husband has a long bow too.) A great study of the movement.

An impressive series of shots, Mikio, where the concentration of the archer is well shown. It's almost possible to follow the ritual movements in preparation for the shot.
I've heard a lot about Japanese archery and how it's executed by the Buddhist monks. Blindfolded, so they won't be swayed by their eyes. The eye that leads the hand...

Hi Mikio !!!
discipline & technique....both are so well displayed in your series of three photos.
I notice a very old fashion uniform .... that shows that it is a very traditional sport.
Well captured and presented. Nice idea.
Have a nice week.
