I've been away from New York City for 35 years now, but unless they've drained the harbor and raised a new bridge --it can't be NYC!

There are 2 of them in the world and a small piece in Paris.
The first one (and the real one, of course) is in New York, a present from France to America to celebrate the 100th birthday of the Independance when French army and governement both helped America. The Declaration of Independance has been signed in Versailles.
The "Statue de la Liberté" is a huge work done by the Mister Eiffel.
This is why you can see in Paris, a small part of the real Statue, the "flamme de la liberté" (the idea is the "flame of Freedom that enlights the world"), near Alexandre III Bridge in Paris were Princess Diana was died. Lots of flowers around there nowadays...
This one is a second one and it was a present from France in year 1997 during the "année de la France au Japon" (the year of France in Japan, that followed the year of Japan in France symbolised by the opening in Paris of the only real Japanese Cultural Center (5 floors, modern architecture, indepandant from Embassy and Japan Fondation)in the world, near Bir Hakeim Bridge).
Thanks for sharing.
