Some TE friends are already familiar with this unique hat. Yes this is main characteristic of Awa odori. Each dance team has symbol mark or color, representing each team's identity. This team's symbol is "Hyottoko",that is printed at the sleeve .

Hyottoko' s expanation is as foloows from "Wikipedia"
Hyottoko seems to have been a legendary character in the past and is now a mask. Some masks have different eye size between left and right eyes, often wearing a scarf around his head (usually white with blue dots). There is a similar character for women called okame or otafuku.
The origin of the name comes from Hi (fire) Otoko (man) because the character is blowing fire with a bamboo pipe and local dialects transform it into Hyottoko.

A delightful shot!
This close-up, picks up the interesting details of her costume as well as good facial details.
Your narrow dof gives sharpness to the focal dancer but also allows us also experience the context in an unobtrusive way.

really this kind of hat is very familiar at least to me as the other Trekkers.I like the characteristic ostentation from the young woman, as taking place in Awa odri festival with her ping costume to be so attractive.
