Photographer’s Note

When December comes, it comes to see Father Christmas here and there also in Tokyo. Santa Claus with a bit different look from another is also queuing up in the cafe to take coffee.

I took this shot putting the camera on my left shoulder to stabilize the image.

Wow, so many "Santas" in one photo!!! Great daily life scene, so colourful (red is my favourite colour), great framing and composition ,great light managment under dificult conditions!

A real nice glimpse of Tokio daily-life. Busy, colorful, greatly atmospheric. An impromtu shot that deserves nothing but praise : angle, exposure, color and definition are superb. Very good job!

hehe, I like the scene, Hisachi. It's funny and you did a good work with your shoulder. I would prefer to see the feet of the line instead of the ceiling, but I like the inclusion of the woman on the corner. Someone doesn't belong to this line... ;-)

funny scene :) Very nice, very kind.
Santa Clauses also need food and drinks :) Great photo; Interesting moment!
I just wonder what an acrobatic trick it was to place the camera on the left shoulder - and shoot!
I like the composition, and the warm colour gamma looks very pleasant... especially at this chilly, dark, unfriendly, snowless winter time here in Moscow :)

Hello Hisashi, At this time of year that man in the red suit is everywhere even in a coffee shot having a break ;-).
Well see & realised in difficult light conditions, the camera on the shoulder, I have never tried that I must remember for next time.

ひさしさん、私はやっぱり人間を見るのが好きです。
お店の中でカメラを取り出すのは勇気が要りません？そこを堂々とブレてない写真を取れるのが、ひさしさんです。私はちょっとドキドキして、早く撮って知らん顔をしたいので、やっぱりブレた写真が撮れます。（笑）
ここは、ひさしさんの堂々とした撮り方、たくさんのサンタがコーヒーを買っている姿、がコミカルで好きです。手前のカメラをもった女性のインパクトはどちらかというと、薄いです。
