[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Talking about an awkward position. This couple I photographed while visiting the Meiji Shrine in Tokyo had just been married and were posing for photos. My guess is maybe this was an arranged marriage which is still practice in Japan by some.

Hello Jeff
Interesting picture of an amusing couple. Probably, as you mention, this is an arranged marriage. There is an interesting article in the National Geographic this month about the chemistry of love, where the tradition of arranging marriages in very old cultures is discussed.
