This photograph is taken at Takeshita street of Tokyo Harajuku. As for this passage, the shops treating young-men/women-oriented clothing and accessories are crowdedly located in a line with the both sides of the narrow passage. I found the crepe shop in the middle of the way. Many kinds of crepes are arranged in in a show window. Each goods are colorful and numbered so that it may be easy to order. Whipped cream is applied on crepe and toppings such as a banana, a strawberry and chocolate etc are put on it. Although I have eaten before, it's a desert liked by the person-with-a-sweet-tooth. In addition, it is a thing of the Harajuku origin instead of the France origin that inserts sweet fruit, whipped cream, etc. on dough of crepe.
Crepe is a kind of a pancake and the Brittany(Bretagne) region in northwestern France is a dish of origin. A dish called the galette of the thin pancake made from buckwheat flour became origin. The dough was changed into flour from buckwheat flour, and it changed so that milk, butter, a chicken egg, sugar, etc. might be added to the dough which was only powder, water, and salt. So, crepes are served with a variety of fillings, from the most simple with only sugar to flambéed crepes Suzette or elaborate savoury galettes.

Greetings Mikio San,
The photo is immensely enriched by the presence of the young man contemplating the display. The headphones and bag add to the universality and modernity of the scene. I like your note very much. I know of the traditional French crepe, but did not know the difference, and indeed the Harajuku origin of this delicacy.
Warm regards from Washington, DC.

These crepes certainly does not look like those we had in Bretagne, some months ago. They all look very colourful here and quite tempting. I guess the boy has a hard time to make a decision!

The answer to your question is, "You don't! You sample one of each." I hope that fellow is hungry. I love the way you have framed this with natural red borders at the top and bottom.

A difficult moment for this young man, Mikio, a decision not easy to make when seeing all the colorful items on display - hope the taste is no-less attractive.
Nice clear shot, vivid in colors and really one decisive moment.
