Photographer’s Note
I have captured this scene putting vivid colors in the foreground at a moment that the smoke of grilled meat flowed (not at Montreux) in the background, because the sound can not be heard from photo though sound of this band was really wonderful, i was surprised to have listened such a performance free of charge.
I wanted the sunlight, but in Japan it is now the rainy season till the end of July.
Taken at the earth garden summer 2009 in Yoyogi Park.
NAP JAPAN written on the yellow truck is the name of African food catering service.

I really like this photograph - very nicely framed - the way the curve of the audience and the pull of the NAPJAP pull the eye round to rest on the perfectly placed singer....I might just have wanted her a little sharper but on a larger image perhaps the slight blur (I assume a blur but the truth is ~ i left my glasses at work! ;-)) - would work well to contrast against the stillness of the audience. The smoke adds something to what for me is a genteel surreality - because Japan is still an alternative reality for me I guess - I get a feeling of encountering a Theodore Sturgeon book - perhaps The Dreaming Jewels or some such - the smoke just adds that extra touch!

in spite of the bad light, you have got a colorful and festive atmosphere, and this is very nice to look at!This is very well framed! And if I can't hear the music,I can imagine it,as I can smell the meat with the sight of the smoke!Very well done!

hello Hisashi,
I was once told that a good photo journalist creates images that can be understood without the words and that "organize" the chaos of a street scene into eloquent story. you have done exactly that, and I like the result a lot, especially how the curve of the crowd frames the singer, as Kev already noted.
best,
Kristine

Dear Hisashi-san
After you visited my gallery I now had a look at yours, very nice, at least the first page I looked at. You are a good photographer. That has nothing to do with politeness, but with that what I just saw. I not only like your pictures but also your informative notes. Your picture above is very well framed and executed, a good example of a wide angle shot. Great DOF through the listeners, vibrant colors and fine sharpness. Well done
Best regards
Urs

This POV and Perspective put us right in the middle of the event, as if we are enjoying the performan first hand. the colorful outfits of the two girl are an attention to draw us in. the lens distortion give us a good sense of just how close you are to the event. Great work, my complements.

Hi Hisashi,
What a great shot with effective distortion around the edges from (I assume) a wide angle lens. The colours and composition are great.

You chose a perfect POV to compose the image so that we, the viewers, feel part of the event. The dull weather, has helped to saturate the colours and provide a wonderful vibrancy to the scene. It looks like a wonderful event where people can take their families.

Hello Hisashi,
A little bit advertisement for the street animation.
You use a nice wide angle lens this gives a little bit distortion in the left angle, but not immediate disturbing
I like the fine and very soft colours in these photograph
Clarity and sharpness are very well, this is very well done.
Colours and presentation are superb. TFS.
Have a nice day,
John.

Hi Hisashi,
I really admire your compositions with people in action using wide angle lens. This is another one of those.
You manage to include so much color, and most of all the composition is so well organized. Here there are some trouble with sharpness but it is still really good work.
