Photographer’s Note
I came across this strange cyclist at the crossing near Harajuku Station. When i pointed my camera toward him, an all-over advert bus happened to pass right in front of us. This scene shows definitely the true feature of kitschy Harajuku.
Used the shutter speed of 1/100 since I thought it was better that the bus has a motion blur a little. This is not a composite but a single shot.

Hi Hisashi.
Mmmm...I'm not sure the little blur in the bus.
Anyway, I like the effect.

Hello Hisashi,
wow, what a colorful composition! It's very nice, I like it...the bus seems to be a natural background, you were luck to be there at the right moment!
Good job

Hello Hisashi,
Very good composition with a good reading of the photo and the spiral and the bicycle in opposite corners.
Knowing the bus was going on, it should have been not so easy to catch this scene as it is presented here.
Yves.

Well seen, Hisashi, and a good use of the speed to get a subtle dizzying effect from the bus passing in the background. An interesting and offbeat scene, not unusual for the Harajuku area :) Nice shot.

Hi Hisashi,
sometimes funny things happen at unusual moments and I think that the truck with the advert came at the right moment giving the composition a "chici-micky" (as we say here) aspect. I'm asking me who is the chameleon: the person or the bicycle ;-)
Well done,
Edi

Hi, Isashi. Your picture is full of contrasts. First of all, between this eccentric cyclist and the well trimmed bus. Secondly, between the colourful clothes and bike and the black and white of the bus.
Have a nice day,
Philippe

Hi, Hisashi.
A most creative composition, brilliant in terms of color vs. black & white, intriguing and full of contrasting elements. That little, subtle touch of motion blur you gave to the truck is just perfect. TFS! Have a good day, buddy. I'll be seeing you,
Fulvio.

Hi Hisashi,
Quite a surreal view, somehow it fits that it comes from Japan. The fact that bus is moving adds another interesting aspect. And proves that you are able to catch the moment and act quickly.

hi Hisashi
I am attracted by the white backdrop of the truck with the black letterings and the poster girl with some desat work on it, especially also the words Forever 21 which I recently saw a giant poster in Kuala Lumpur city center.
I like the little bit of blue sky at the top left. f/14 seems to give superb depth here.
But I would have avoided the crop of the coil at the right side of the truck [wondering why the tires and black patch is blur], and avoiding the crop of the boxes at bottom.
Nice work because I think it is very much desaturation kind of effect.

Hello Hisashi,
A strange and attractive shot, also quite amusing. A surprising and coincidental combination of slightly bizarre elements.
Kind regards,

kitschy indeed, but the contrast between bright yellow of the bike and cool elegance of B&W bus is fascinating. another great city shot, Hisashi, I particularly like the chain fence in the foreground, as if the bike and the bus are part of some sort of exibition.

Kristine

Hello Hisashi,
the composition is just wonderful: the cyclist on the right - and the girl's face on the left! amazing balance of objects and colours :)
Very good effect! very curious, really nice, humorous photo.
