This photograph is taken in the direction of Ote-mon (the front gate) which leads to Higashi Gyoen (the East Garden of the Imperial Palace) from an inner moat of the Imperial Palace. The moat within the castle walls is about 5km moat which encloses the circumference of the Imperial Palace in which the Emperor lives now. This circumference makes the history overlooked the castle and a canal of Edo period (1603–1868) and beautiful scene which arranged the modernistic skyscraper in another side. Some swans are swimming pleasantly in inner moat along Hibiya street. On that day, I looked the ceremony carriage for the Imperial Household which two horses pull in the courtyard of the Higashi Gyoen by chance. Seemingly, it will be used also for a new appointment ambassador's welcome and send-off and Imperial-Household events, such as accession to the throne of His Majesty the Emperor, and marriage of the Imperial Family.
1. Higashi Gyoen
It is a garden of about 21 ha of width attached to the east side of the Imperial Palace in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. A Japanese garden, an Imperial-Household-related institution, the ruins of Edo castle, etc. are left behind to the rich green copse. After the war, it is specially specified as historic relics and, generally came to be opened to the public from October 1, 1968.

This is a nice photo showing two tourists at the imperial palace grounds. Frankly, I like the workshop photo better. The horses are gorgeous animals and the red cover the driver is sitting on as well as his uniform are spectacular. I assume the two standing on the back of the carriage are the royal guard. Was His Majesty in the carriage?

This is a highly appealing composition, extremely well balanced and with a very good light and clarity. I like the combination of two tourists, two swans and two small trees. Excellent. The well lit stones of the bridge are nicely shaped and have a fine texture, and the shady grey wall creates a perfect background.

A very good capture of this nearly unique cooperation between persons and birds. They are all really perfectly positioned, turned in the same direction, with space ahead of them. The little bush is providing the necessary balance in the composition. Very soft and harmonic colours too!
