Photographer's Note
We see the person using a mobile phone at all places in a station, office, shops, and among a town etc.
A long time ago, the mobile phone only talked, but next a mail function, a photograph function, and a music function are added, and we can do to the Internet or a game now. It seems that the flow is greatly replaced with the smart phone from the personal computer, and the IT industry is also changing a maker's party strength a lot these days. I think that weight is also light, carrying is convenient to be sure, and it is convenient to have various functions in that small package. However, there are too many a function to an old person like me to master. And, it is disagreeable for me to use the Internet etc., since the screen is small. People of nowadays depends on information too much, and I feel that the custom which reads a book or thinking ability is lost. From now on, what kind of society will it be in future? I canceled the mobile phone one year ago. This photograph is taken in an order from the left in Shibuya, Tokyo Station, and Ochanomizu.

Hi Mikio
Great idea for a triptych. The three images work great on their own and even better together, connected by the mobile phone theme.
Makes me miss Tokyo...
Best wishes

Hello Mikio
I really like this triptych presentation. It holds together very well, not just thematically, but tonally as well. It reminds me (though it's cleverer and more radically presented of a recent posting of mine. Good work.

HI MIkio !!
i agree with your comments, the mobile phone is changing the way people live, I use mine only to talk... I hate the small screen and the small keypad.
Your image shows it the way it is....... good composition using very spontaneous moments.
Have a nice week end.

Hello Mikio,
The modern time is gigantic the last twenty year.
I am born without electricty, no cars, no radio, no TV, no telephone, but everyone was happy.
Alone the newspaper was everyday in house.
I know not where this will finish, for my is almost over (72 year)
Sharpness and clarity be superb.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,
John.

Hello Mikio,
Very nice set of photos showing the modern "addiction" to cell phones. It's nice that each photo is in a different setting. I only use my cell phone to make urgent calls. I prefer to be aware of my surroundings, and actually talk to the people around me. Very often people are walking in the street and they don't even look up!!

Hi Mikio
To start with, mobile phones are God's gift for candid shots, with all attention being paid to the gadgets and not the photographer. They are the iPhone geeks generation who are constantly glued oblivious to their surroundings but very cleverly spotted by you. A brilliant montage of candid everyday subjcet well put together to creat a story. This is sharp and technically well performed shots and a great social comment. Well done, TFS
Kind regards
