Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken in front of the elementary school gate of Tokyo Bunkyo-ku. On that day, I came out my house, and was taking a walk in the direction of Ueno. On the way, I saw the spectacle of the entrance ceremony of an elementary school. Although it was near the daytime, the new students who finished the entrance ceremony and their parents came out from the school, and had gathered in front of the school gate. A certain family took the commemorative photo and a certain family was having a pleasant chat.
The wholly clear countenance was carried out. From now on, new students will have the elementary school life for six years. In the city, in connection with a child's decrease in the birthrate, the number of classes also became fewer, and streamlining of schools has also come out. There clearly changed from the time of being a baby boom into which I have grown up, now. In Japan, compulsory education is nine years for six years of an elementary school and three years of a junior high school. And, they go on to a high school about 100%, and about 50% of the same ages go on to a university. However, unlike our time employment looks like a severe time nowadays by social structural change as well as other foreign contries. When these children are becoming an adult, it is the our grown-up duty which is made society with comfortable and vitality.
