Bird Man and ...Bird Woman? Photo

Photographer’s Note

I took this in Asakusa in the Senso ji shrine.
This couple were feeding the pigeons. The man was quite comfortable with the pigeons, the woman was shreiking her guts out. He had her hold the feed in the palm of her hand, but the birds piled on to her and she couldn't stand it.
I have another picture with her covering her hair and grimacing as she feeds the hungry pigeons.
It looked quite funny to me. Especially since the two reactions were opposite, the man was comfortable with the birds and was laughing as the poor woman was screaming her lungs out.

I consider this to be a perfect shot. Love the action seen. Very well taken. Like the bird on the man's left shoulder. He seems to be interested in the woman's reaction. Captured wonderfully. Well done.

If you want to spend some more time on the photograph I dare advice you to blur the background a little bit in Photoshop :)

Nice capture indeed. It seems that pigeons are really familiar with people that feed them. Your picture reminds me a photo I did 2 years ago : Young girl with pigeons

Excellent capture on the right moment. Man's laugh is so well taken.
Lighting and composition very good.
Only small thing, photo would probably be better without the kid with red coat, but you can't have everything, can you!

This a such a great PJ picture, and the "flying rats" are the same in all cities the world over, feed them and they will perch on you. She shouls enjoy this, not duck. Well caight, Dinyar

haha, great scene, they seem to be so happy! I am not sure if I would be happy having so many pigeons sitting on me, very nice image!
