Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken at Yunoko Lake which is a slightly higher elevation than Senjogahara. Indeed, the stream in the previous picture flows into the river that comes out of Yunoko (starting with a waterfall).
This fisherman was one of about a dozen standing thigh or waist deep in the lake.
Note: I finally found out how to straighten the horizon without making the picture blurry. Cropped slightly.

Lovely quiet mood captured here, DK. I like the monochromatic effect. The silhouette and reflection of the fisherman are a good strong focus of interest in the shot. I've made some minor changes in a workshop - I hope you approve.

Very nice picture, very quiet...
I like the way the mountain on the left side merge with the water (and the reflection!)

J'aime beaucoup votre photo pour la sérennité qu'elle dégage. La brume, les reflets dans le lac, apportent une note très poétique à la photo.
Cependant je la trouve trop symétrique pour laisser complètement la place au rêve.

Great point of view, looks like this famous japanese painter with the wave, simple and graphic.
Also reminds me of the trappers of Canada, in the XIXth century

It's right, it's really serene. With a little rain was a perfect fishing day!
The almost B&W scene complete the atmosphere of the composition.

Very interesting picture with great atmosphere created by the mist around everything, the gentle lines and their reflection is great.

Very nice atmosphere for this picture with the fog and nice composition. What I just want is a picture a bit bigger... but this is well done!

Thank you for this photo DK. Perfect symmetry and serenity, and the muted colors add to the calmness.

What a lovely shot. Being a fisherman myself I can appreciate the serenity of this situation. Fantastic composition and good use of the hazy background. Only a pity one can' really see his fishing rod. You have compressed very much, that is a pity. I would have liked to see a larger image.

Beautiful! I hesitate to suggest any changes, but perhaps you cuold crop from bottom and right to move the figure more toward the inetrsection of thirds - your compositoin here seems based no placing the mountain ridge and its erflection in the top and bottom left corners and the horizon in the centre, but I think the more conservative lines of thirds approach would work better - the fisherman is, after all, the psychological centre of the picture. Great work!

Really serene !
The perfect reflection, the smooth light and the foggy background express very well that serenity that must be in that fisherman's head, for staying like this a whole day, without disturbing anything...

The quality of the sober strong structure, the triangle of the hill with its reflectio pointing to the man with a reholded slight gradiant colortone makes this shot really outstanding, excellent photo here !
