Photographer’s Note
taken in a shrine of my town, midnight of New Year's Eve.
i spotted a child he maintain the bonfire for visitors. i guess, he is son of priest of the shrine.
During the New Year's holidays, Japanese people make their first visits to shrines, where they pray for happiness and good health for the year.
Tripod is must for this situation.

Hello Yuo,
I like very much your composition, and the superb capture. The streaks of light must have been produced by the slow, 3-second, shutter speed. I see that you live in Yokohama, a lovely port I visited in the 1980s. I look forward to seeing more of your photographs. (Incidentally, I wrote a book about Leonardo that was translated into Japanese, (I believe "Mona Lisa to Suugaku") in either Tokyo or Yokohama.
Best wishes for the New Year,
Bulent
