One for Emka. Not much of a view of Mount Fuji from the lake shore here, but if you climb higher up behind the town of Moto Hakone, or get a cablecar higher up, then you get a much better view. I would have liked to have had the time to do these lookouts too, as well as Owakundani.

This is of course one of the pirate boats on Lake Ashi, a caldera lake formed after the Hakone volcano last exploded 3,000 years ago.

A nice presentation of this pirate boat with nice details and attractive colors. I like that subtle reflection in the water. The mountain with snowy peaks make a nice background with good color contrast.

An unsual ship here (tourist design?) but it is the more subdued background that is the real appeal.

The distance between the boat and the mountains is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the pirate boat. The afternoon light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

great the snapshot of the pirate boat to take a stroll in the caldera lake enjoying the tourists of the place.The everlasting snowy peaks of the famous Fuji Mt. makes the image even more effective and unique.
I like the placement if the boat in the frame as the excellent light and colour management of the image.

Oh yes, I wondered if that was Mt Fuji in the BG. And we see the Disney ship again, beautifully detailed and well-positioned. The colours contrast beautifully against the cooler tones of the sea and bg. Nice work, jeez you really have done some travelling. I'm sure Malgo will love this photo.

Hi Chris, I almost missed the dedication. Thank you very much!! Nice view of the mount Fuji, even if it is just a small part of it. I spent two days in Hakone area, choosing the places with a best views, I was also on Owakudani, but what are the places worth when there is a fog? It was important as a symbol, I have seen a lot of beautiful volcanos, like
here.
Funny ship. Mine was more kitchy.
