Photographer’s Note
I love this dog's eyes. They're looking at me through the window, saying "help me".
The Japanese seem to have an obsession with having their dogs perfectly groomed and washed. This little shop in Kamakura, between Kamakura station and the seafront, offered dog bathing and - pictured here - shaving the hair between a dog's toes.
I've never found a problem with the hair on dogs' feet, personally.
I took this through a window, observing this scene as I walked past. I avoided glare by putting the camera's lens right up against the glass.
Technical: Adjusted brightness and contrast, and cropped the photo.
