Photographer’s Note
Here is in the northwest part of Kanto plains in Gunma Prefecture located at the center of Japan on geographical features. Tonegawa flows at the center, and mountains of mountain stream Tanigawa etc. keep from far away. The cotton mill such as silk fabrics prospers for a long time in this region, and it develops as a manufacturing town such as automotive works in recent years. Moreover, the agricultures of the vegetable making such as the cabbages and spring onions are also active. They are very few prefectures located in the inland in Japan that is the seafaring country.
This photograph was taken from the observatory in the Gunma Prefectural government in Maebashi City.

Hi Mikio --
Excellent shot with a very very helpful note. Nice POV emphasizing what you have told us in the note. May be bridge on the river would not have been cropped but that is how you tried to show. The plains, the colours are wonderful. Thanks for sharing this.
Cheers

Great saturation and overall color on this photo, Kato-san. Sharpness is superb, too. I figured you took this shot from the Prefectural bldg in Maebashi--it's one of the few tall buildings in the area. Oh, and I love Gunma konnyaku!

A beautiful shot here of the lovely Kanto plains. This reminds me quite a bit of my visit to Japan...the beautiful mountains that gradually giveway to the lower-lying plains and cities. Just a wonderful setting and photograph. Very nicely done.
