Photographer’s Note

The second of two images taken on a cloudy day from my balcony in Sapporo. I like the fact it is a very contrasty image. The slightly grainy effect is because this is a scan of an old slide (AGFA Scala).

I really like this photograph alot. If you have ever seen a film called "Mononoke Hime" you would understand the majesty that this photo projects. It's hard to describe but it's liek nature in it's most energised form.

B&W does this photo justice, the layering of shades evoke a character that is unique and almost demanding.
